Spring in the eastern Mediterranean is full of pleasures and possibilities: delve into the mythical world of ancient Greece, and relax on Corfu – the favourite island of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, or Sissi. The Bay of Kotor will beguile you with its magical beauty – as will the plazas and palaces of the unforgettable city of Venice.

    The highlights of this cruise

    Stevi Stefan
A VIP experience on the Adriatic
Thanks to its medieval charm, the tiny island of Sveti Stefan* was already a popular destination for stars and statesmen back in the 1950s. The Restaurant Galion** seats guests on a spectacular platform that appears to hover above the water.
    Venedig
    Shopping at its most exclusive
This area used to be home to German merchants selling their wares. Nowadays, you can find products by designers from Bulgari to Fendi here. In 2016, the luxury goods group LVMH opened up a luxury shopping temple in the Fondaco dei Tedeschi**, right at the foot of the Rialto Bridge. One more reason why Italy is a dream destination.
    Ravenna
In a class of its own
Ferrari is the epitome of the luxury sports car. Our travel concierge** recommends that all Formula 1 fans and car enthusiasts take a tour of the factory and visit the museum, which pays homage to the life and work of the legendary Enzo Ferrari. (Twice a day, max.10 guests per visit, subject to last-minute changes.)
    * The shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Please make table reservations yourself. Our travel concierge will be happy to help (fees apply).

Start your highly diverse holidays on the Peloponnese: Greece’s charming peninsula has been separated from the mainland by the Corinth Canal since 1893 and has always been the setting of mythical stories. Travel from NAUPLIA to the legendary Mycenae*. The famous Lion Gate is a fascinating part of the legendary royal city of King Agamemnon and opens the way to the vast legacy of this early advanced culture. The mighty Spartans ruled the Peloponnese and used GYTHION as a port.

Today, the charming bay is framed by a typical Greek backdrop featuring alluring tavernas. With its idyllic olive groves, CORFU is the greenest island in Greece. Empress Elisabeth of Austria was a regular visitor, and her enthusiasm for the invincible hero Achilles led to the construction of the Achilleion* on the island. "Sissi" transformed a Venetian villa into a Romantic castle with views of the sea and magical gardens. Take plenty of time to explore the building and the island's capital, Kerkyra, where the EUROPA will spend the night in the port.

The Albanian town of SARANDE is just a few nautical miles away. The harbour town is still considered a hidden gem with a number of historical sights on its doorstep, including the ruins of Butrint*. Myths also surround Syri i Kalter* (Blue Eye), a turquoise-green spring in the heart of an enchanting forest. The 2,000-year-old KOTOR is a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site left behind by Romans, kings, merchants and saints. Its location is a real highlight: the Bay of Kotor is nestled between two steep cliff walls at the end of a spectacular fjord and will take your breath away even as you stand on the deck. Croatia and the islands spread out off its coast are home to crystal-clear water, shimmering bays and lush coastlines. Marco Polo is said to have glimpsed the light of the world in KORCULA CITY in 1254. Standing in the building where he is said to have been born, you can make up your own mind whether or not you believe the legend – in any case, ascending the tower will reward you with an incredible view. Surrounded by water and only connected to the mainland by a bridge, the medieval old town of TROGIR is in an extraordinary location.

ROVINJ was an island until 1763 and has a dramatic history. This small city has been influenced by Romans, Venetians and the House of Habsburg, turning a stroll into a walk through the ages. On the final day of your cruise, you will have plenty of time to get to know VENICE. Even arriving in this lagoon city becomes an experience when the EUROPA sails leisurely by the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Square in the morning. Walk through the winding alleyways or let one of the black gondolas transport you along the canals - La Serenissima is unique wherever you go.

    * The shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Subject to change.
