Relax on the Algarve or explore the area inland. A jeep tour* will take you up to the summit of the Pico da Foia, and on the way there will be a tasting at a distillery. An excursion* to Sagres, Lagos and Cabo Sao Vincente will take you on the trail of Portugal’s seafaring history. Connoisseurs can head off for a gourmet lunch at Vila Joya*.

The EUROPA cruises slowly up the Guadalquivir into the heart of Andalusia – discover Seville as you walk through the charming streets and beautiful alleys, browse for the perfect souvenir in the little shops or stop for some delicious tapas in one of the inviting bodegas. Everywhere you go, you can see the city’s impressive landmark, the Giralda. The clock tower of the world’s largest Gothic cathedral was initially built as a minaret. The former caliphate of Cordoba was a flourishing city in the Islamic world. In the prayer hall of the richly decorated Mezquita cathedral, more than 850 columns are a reminder of the city’s glory days. Jerez de la Frontera* is also home to some fine treasures. Admire the splendid Andalusian horses at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art*.
