List/Sylt, arrival 5.00 hrs

Begin your independent discovery tour of the “queen of the North Sea” by relaxing in a beach chair in the secluded Blidsel Bay, the waves breaking tirelessly on its endless stretch of sand. Not far away, Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park invites visitors to take extended bicycle tours and explore its gentle rolling dunes and wild heathland. To refuel on the way, we recommend that you stop off in exclusive Kampen and visit one of the exquisite thatched-roof restaurants. Between old captains’ houses and overgrown farmers’ gardens lies Sylt’s local history museum, where you can take a look back through time. The Rantum Basin is also worth a detour – the pond trail taking you across the beautiful marshland to marvel at the diverse bird life. A refreshing breeze pervades the old fishing village of Hoernum, where the lighthouse has been guiding seafarers for more than a century. And when the sun finally sets over the North Sea, it will be time for the 14th MS EUROPA meets Sansibar event. Feast in the restaurant amidst the dunes and help us celebrate a legendary event to which we have once again invited famous faces from economics, culture and show business to revel on board the EUROPA.

Copenhagen/Denmark, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs

Life in Denmark’s charming capital plays out mostly on the water. Dozens of canals form the lifelines of the city and its landmark, the Little Mermaid, will show you the way during a canal trip*. With its striking projecting roof, the modern Opera House* points to the future. From the first floor, you can enjoy a view of the harbour and the opposing Amalienborg Palace, where a flag fluttering in the wind signals that Her Majesty is home. A helicopter flight* will provide incomparable vistas of towers, palace gardens and the outlying islands. Denmark’s specialities are as regal as they are delectable*. Sample your way through Nordic food culture, the new Torvehallerne enticing you in with smoerrebroeds topped with salmon or crab as well as a whole range of delicacies.

Following programmes we offer in German:

Family cruise – great times for young explorers

On this family cruise, your loved ones will have their very own on-shore programme. Experienced supervisors ensure that special kids’ and teens’ excursions provide an exciting way to explore new places for all junior cruise passengers aged 4 and up. Naturally, we also offer family excursions* tailored to let you and your children explore together. Back on board, the children and their supervisors complete their eventful day by eating together in the Lido Café. If required, a babysitter* can look after your little ones afterwards. To allow you to sleep in peace, we also offer a lie-in service on days at sea: nannies will pick up your children at 8.00 hrs and take them for breakfast. And on days with shore excursions, adjusted supervision times allow you to take part in excursions* without your children.

Details of kids’, teens’ and family excursions can be found in the itinerary under the respective ports.

* Subject to a charge.
