The 140 small islands at the northern tip make an especially colourful spectacle on a catamaran trip to the famous Hole in the Rock*, right in the midst of the Marine Wildlife Park. You can almost touch the history of the Maori people in the Treaty House*, the grounds of which were where the peace treaty between the British Crown and the Maori was signed in 1840. Encounter a legend at the end of your hike to the Haruru Falls* – it is said that a spirit dwells under the thundering water. With a bit of luck, however, you are far more likely to meet up with the cormorants that nest here.

Fluorescent coral gardens and encounters underwater are promised by the Aquarium des Lagons*; naturally, however, you can also admire the beauty of the bays while stand-up paddling. Or glide on a Segway* through the Botanical Gardens.
