Or come with us to see the highlights of the Eternal City*. Italy’s “home of pizza” will entice you to make individual discoveries of the historic part of the city, whilst outside the city you can visit the famous ruins of Pompeii*. A walk through the once flourishing streets will give you a clear insight into the past. Etna appears on the horizon in the morning light. Approach the volcano in and off-road vehicle* and walk through the bizarre world of woods, volcanic desert and grottos. Valletta/Malta, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs

One great way of exploring this medieval setting is by Segway*. Before Valletta’s rise to glory, the knights of the order ruled from Mdina*. Walk past the white limestone buildings of this “silent city”, in which time seems to have stood still.

Family Cruise

On this family cruise, your loved ones will have their very own on-shore programme. Experienced supervisors ensure that special kids’ and teens’ excursions provide an exciting way to explore new places for all junior cruise passengers aged 4 and up. Naturally, we also offer family excursions* tailored to let you and your children explore together. Back on board, the children and their supervisors complete their eventful day by eating together in the Lido Café. If required, a babysitter* can look after your little ones afterwards. To allow you to sleep in peace, we also offer a lie-in service on days at sea: nannies will pick up your children at 8.00 hrs and take them for breakfast. And on days with shore excursions, adjusted supervision times allow you to take part in excursions* without your children.

Details of kids’, teens’ and family excursions can be found in the itinerary under the respective ports.

* Subject to a charge.
