The Brønnøysund Bridge connects the small island of Torget with the mainland. When you reach your destination on the walk to Torghatten,* you will find out about one of the legends of the North - the king's son Hestmannen once made the enormous hole in the mountain. These days, you can enjoy the fantastic views over the islands.

Take a seat on the Flåm railway*, and chug along on one of the steepest mountain railways in the world past fields and waterfalls, gorges and mountains. Enjoy the views of the fjords towards Vik*.
The longest fjord in the country is also the deepest fjord in the whole of Europe. In the middle is the traditional village of Vik with its picturesque Hoppestad stave church.
