We offer our guests the following information concerning the dress code when on board the ships in our fleet:
There is no set dress code on board the EUROPA. Guests wear casual clothing for the daytime. For the evening, gentlemen wear a suit or jacket and matching trousers and ladies opt for corresponding attire.
In the Lido Cafe, we also recommend informal attire for dinner. For especially festive occasions, formal dress is favoured. Among other criteria, the number of gala events depends on the itinerary.
Generally, the following applies:
1 gala evening on short cruises of up to four nights
2 gala evenings on cruises of up to 15 nights
3 gala evenings on cruises of 16 or more nights
For excursions or private trips ashore, clothing should be particularly comfortable and practical as well as suited to the route you will travel. Sturdy footwear is recommended and flat shoes are indispensable when on board the ship and ashore
MS EUROPA 2
There is no set dress code on board the EUROPA 2. However, we would like to recommend smart-casual clothing for evening wear in the Restaurant Weltmeere, Tarragon, Grande Reserve, Elements and Serenissima restaurants: gentlemen may wish to wear a jacket or a summer suit - a tie is not necessary.
There is no set dress code on board the MS EUROPA 2 during the day.
The atmosphere on board during the day is casual. For the evening, we recommend casual-elegant attire. Only for the two captain's dinners (welcome evening and farewell evening) do we recommend a suit or jacket and matching trousers for gentlemen, and ladies opt for corresponding attire. We request that guests should not enter public areas or restaurants in swimwear or beach attire.
Ashore For excursions or private trips ashore, clothing should be particularly comfortable and practical, as well as suited to the route you will travel. Sturdy footwear and flat shoes are indispensable when on board the ship and ashore. To ensure that you are protected from water spray on Zodiac rides and during landings, we recommend that you bring waterproof trousers or overtrousers with you – in particular, for expeditions in the polar regions. A protective waterproof bag is recommended for your camera equipment. Please make sure to also bring along bathing shoes or water-resistant trekking sandals on any tropical routes with beaches or warmwater activities.
Note: The Bremen has no tender boats of its own, which means that guests will disembark in the Zodiacs when the ship is at anchor. It is always worth bringing waterproof trousers for these occasions.
